Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park spans approximately 2,850 km², defined by seasons of dense wildlife gatherings along the Tarangire River, which is a vital water source that draws large herds of animals, especially during the dry season (June to October)..

Tarangire hosts the largest concentration of elephants per square kilometre in Tanzania, along with other wildlife such as tree-climbing lions, leopards, wild dogs, Beisa oryx, eland, dik-dik, and more than 550 bird species.  Its iconic baobab trees, termite mounds, and Acacia woodlands contribute to the park’s striking scenery.
